Compensation and incentives

IGD offers horizontal and vertical career development.

The way in which the different career paths may be pursued are clearly defined and shared with employees.

Compensation and incentive policies

IGD's remuneration policy is guided by the objective of enhancing the skills of people and of providing the proper acknowledgment to the commitment of the individual, consistent with its professional development profile within the Group.

In 2010 IGD implemented a staff performance assessment system, which joined the Management by Objectives (MBO) already present in the company.

The performance assessment system aimed to Managerial staff and Department heads and it is associated with merit increases. The evaluation is done through an assessment data sheet divided into different class of skill; the notification of the results is an important occasion in which individual assessment on the main work related issues takes place.

In 2016 the annual performance review system involved 67 employees, or 54% of the full-time staff, excluding Executives, with the result of the attribution of merit increases to 17 people: a number corresponding to 14% of population affected.

The Romanian subsidiary Winmarkt, in line with the policy of development of internal resources, in 2016 were made 6 adjustments of merit for results and length of service and a role adjustment (new commercial area manager).

The MBO system is based on assigning common and specific targets to all the employees with permanent contracts; according to the achievement of objectives, rates of variable pay are envisaged. Since 2010, Winmarkt also started operating its own Motivational System, based on the group leader's MBO.

The collective supplementary labor agreement, signed on 22.10.2013 and effective through 31.10.2016, introduced important changes relating to:

  • variable compensation, with regard primarily to payment conditions;
  • career paths and training, introducing a simpler structure;
  • employees in transit, with improved conditions for personnel being transferred.

Benefit system

IGD offers benefit packages in line wih the company's sector which vary based on the position held: from company cars, to mobile phones, as well as IT tools that facilitate the efficient mobility of a few professionals. Health insurance is also offered to executives, as well as middle and junior managers.
