Hackathon “Waste 2 Value”

IGD, insieme a Coop Alleanza 3.0, Camst ed Impronta Etica, ha coordinato l’hackathon che si è tenuto a Bologna dal 7 al 9 giugno.

Obiettivo: realizzare un modello di economia circolare sul tema food all’interno di un Centro Commerciale

Dal 7 al 9 giugno a Bologna, presso le Serre dei Giardini Margherita (Via Castiglione 13), si è tenuto l’hackathon “Waste 2 Value” la cui challenge è stata coordinata da Impronta Etica insieme a Camst, Coop Alleanza 3.0 e IGD SiiQ.

Partendo dalle ispirazioni di Expo Milano è nato “Waste 2 Value”, l’hackathon in cui 40 partecipanti, coadiuvati dai talenti del Food Innovation Program, hanno affrontato il tema dell’economia circolare per la riduzione dello spreco alimentare. Waste 2 Value si è svolto all’interno di Agrogeneration Bologna, un format “evento” dedicato alla Sostenibilità dell’Agroalimentare con particolare attenzione al tema degli sprechi alimentari.

La challenge dell’Hackathon – Come utilizzare rifiuti alimentari e altri scarti che altrimenti non troverebbero alcuna collocazione in filiere già avviate? – è stata coordinata da Impronta Etica, Camst, Coop Alleanza 3.0 e IGD SiiQ, che intendevano affrontare il tema dello spreco alimentare attraverso un modello di economia circolare sul tema food all’interno di un Centro Commerciale, delineando insieme a loro la sfida che è stata presentata.

L’obiettivo dell’Hackathon consisteva infatti nell’ideare un utilizzo a rifiuti alimentari e altri scarti che altrimenti non troverebbero alcuna collocazione in filiere già avviate.

Il progetto che si è classificato al primo posto nell’hackathon si è aggiudicato un premio di 1000 euro, da utilizzare per lo sviluppo di quest’ultimo. I vincitori potranno inoltre partecipare ad Agrogeneration G7 a Bergamo il prossimo ottobre.
