Investments and divestments

Investments

Between 2005 and 2011 IGD's real estate portfolio grew significantly through the acquisition of newly opened malls and hypermarkets. Afterwards IGD has been committed to consolidating this significant expansion. At the end of 2014, following the successfull share capital increase for an amount of approximately  € 200 millions, IGD completed a relevant acquisition: a portfolio of strategic assets for a total amount fo € 92.66 million. During 2015, following the opening occurred on 27th October 2016, a new asset entered in IGD's portfolio: the Maremà shopping mall in Grosseto.

Divestments

IGD has also made a few disposals over time. The sale of 20% of Porta Medicea made it possible for an industrial partner to get involved in the waterfront development project in Livorno. The sale of the shopping center Le Fonti del Corallo in Livorno, occurred in February 2014, reflected the strategy included in the Business Plan which calls for efficient capital rotation including through disposals.

On 15 January 2015, IGD signed a preliminary contract for the sells of a real estate complex in the heart of Bologna (Via Rizzoli) for € 29.4 million. The sale was concluded on 27 May 2015.

In the past, IGD also terminated preliminary purchase agreements for shopping centers to be built in the future as the economic terms and conditions were no longer in line with the Company's expectations.
