      The BREEAM environmental certification is one of the most important international recognized standards for environmental sustainability of buildings; it pays special attention to the overall improvement of the visitors' well-being. On 1st July 2016 Centro Sarca Shopping Center has obtained this certification after the restyling work completed at year-end 2015. Continue

      The REGO (Renewable Energy Guarantee of Origin) certification, issued by AXPO (electricity supplier), proves that electricity used in Bologna headquarters since 2013 is generated exclusively from renewable sources for consumption.

    • logo UNI EN ISO14001

      Started in 2012, the implementation path of the UNI ES ISO 14001 Environmental Certification in Italy currently regards 11 Shopping Centres and the headquarters. The shopping centers actually certified represent the 64% of the total square meters and the 55% of the IGD's portofolio shopping centers. Continue

    • CDP logo

       The disclosure on IGD environmental sustainability policies is increasing.

       The score obtained by IGD in the CDP report "Climate Change 2015" has been 77/100 showing a significant improvement compared to the 51 obtained in 2014. Continue

      Waste 2 Value is an innovative and participatory project of circular economy on food item, aimed at re-entering food scrap in the shopping center by giving them a new life and avoiding waste.Continues

    • epra-sbpr-gold-2017

      In September 2017, IGD received for the third consecutive year the prestigious international EPRA sBPR Gold Award 2017 for the 2016 sustainability report; a prize received from the European Public Real Estate Association awarded real estate companies who have excelled in compliance with the Sustainability Best Practice Recommendations (sBPR) relating to sustainability reports.       GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is a science-based benchmark committed to evaluate rigorously and independently the sustainability performance of real estate portfolios, based on an annual survey. This industry-led initiative has the goal to enhance shareholder value by increasing transparency in environmental and social practices in the property sector. Continues

      In 2013 IGD has been included in the FTSE ECPI SRI Benchmark Italy. This index is composed of ordinary shares issued by companies listed in the Italian Stock Exchange MTA market, included in FTSE MIB and FTSE Italia MidCap indexes, that demonstrate good skills in dealing with issues related to environmental and social performance and to the governance structure.       On 24 November 2015 IGD received for the second time the Eubiosia (from Greek, “the good life”) prize, which has reached its seventh edition thanks to the oncological prevention project and the fund raising which encouraged the participation and involvement of citizens and employees, from the ANT Onlus Foundation. Continues

      IGD obtained the award for "Solidarity Company 2010" recognized as socially responsible company by the Association for the working and social inclusion of disadvantaged people (AIL and S.).  Continues

      In 2010 IGD obtained the Pass Status in the Kempen SNS Socially Responsible Universe. The SRI universe is the set of small European companies that meet and exceed the socially responsible standards of ethical, social and environmental performance. Continues

     
     
  • Membership

      In 2015 IGD became a member of the new Architecture, Technique and Sustainability Commission established during the year within the National Association of Shopping Centres (CNCC). CNCC is a transversal association that brings together in a single body all public and private entities linked in various ways, to the industry of Shopping Centers, Retail Parks and Factory Outlets.       In 2015 IGD became a member of the European Sustainability Group of the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), the only Italian company to do so. The purpose of this Committee is to share knowledge and best practices amongst its members (15 European companies), engage stakeholders and analyse European regulations. Continue

      Since 2011 IGD joined Impronta Etica, a non-profit association for promotion and development of corporate social responsibility, which brings together 27 companies and institutions in Emilia Romagna and it is partner of CSR Europe network.
