The concept of "Spaces to be lived in"

IGD works to make its Shopping Centres real "Spaces to be lived in", based on their abilities to:

  • promote and host various commercial, sport-recreational, solidarity and local events;
  • knowing how to respond to the needs of the surrounding area in terms of services, aggregation, emerging needs, ...

SOCIAL ROLE OF THE SHOPPING CENTRE
  • Offer accessible events that combine social issues with recreational-sports ones and commercial ones.
  • Portray the presence of Winiland in Winmarkt Shopping Centers as an appealing element with an educational value.
  • Organisation of "Happy Hand in Tour" an across-the-board event in which individuals with disabilities and able-bodied visitors shared sport and artistic esperiences. 
  • Prevention and awareness-raising projects on health issues were held in IGD Shopping Centers.
  • The organisation of educational events in all the Centers where Winiland is present continued.
TERRITORIAL IMPORTANCE
  • Make IGD's presence in each shopping center's local territory felt even more by means of events
  • Local events are 34% out of the total
  • Local suppliers are 51% out of the total
  • 205 local organisations have been involved throghout the year
  • IGD Centers provided employment to approximately 14,200 people
COMMUNICATION 
  • Assess the possibility of continuing with the Shopping Center apps
  • Identify a strategy for presence on the social networks both with regard to the Shopping Centers and the headquarters (Romania)
  • IGD decided to limit its Shopping Center apps to 2, with other visitor information/liaison methods being envisaged in the "Innovation Projects"
  • Winmark continued to be on Facebook with two official pages: Winmarkt Romania and Ploiesti.
INNOVATION
  • Identify possible areas for innovation and assess the subsequent implementation by means of a cost/benefit analysis.
  • Launched the "Click & Collect" project in Esp shopping center.
  • Smartphone and tablet battery chargers inserted in 4 shopping centers.
  • A "Trolley Guard" that guarantees the custody for free of the shopping cart installed in 1 shopping center.
