The Code of conduct reported the values and principles that inspire and shall base the act of IGD in dealing with the various stakeholders, be they employees, customers, suppliers, public authorities, institutions or shareholders. Specific training activities were conducted during 2012 to allow a more thorough knowledge of the Code of conduct by IGD staff and encourage their wider application in everyday life.

Reporting principles

The 2014 Sustainability Report took as reference:

  • the guidelines for reporting drafted by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI-G4); in particular were analysed the sectoral guidelines related to the real estate sector ("Sustainability Reporting Guidelines - Construction and Real Estate Sector Supplement")
  • the EPRA guidelines for the environmental indicators ("Best Practises Recommendations on Sustainability Reporting")

About The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)

The Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) is a non-profit international organisation that has been promoting the use of sustainability reports as a mean to make the companies more sustainable since 1997. It defines and produces the indicators to measure and communicate the economic, social and environmental performances of the companies. The activities and the importance of GRI have seen a progressive development over the years, as testified by the evolution of the standards produced: each standard "release" is made by involving a global networok of stakeholders that includes experts, users and assurance-providers.

The fourth generation of Guidelins (G4) has been released in May 2013 and it is now the international reference standard on sustainability reporting topics.
