Hackathon “Waste 2 Value”

IGD, along with Coop Alleanza 3.0, Camst and Impronta Etica, will coordinate the hackathon that will took place in Bologna from 7 to 9 June.

Target: To create a circular economy model on the food theme within a Shopping Center
From June 7 to 9, in Bologna, at the Giardini Margherita Gardens (Via Castiglione 13), the hackathon "Waste 2 Value" will be held, whose challenge will be coordinated by Impronta Etica together with Camst, Coop Alleanza 3.0 and IGD SiiQ.
Starting from the inspirations of Expo Milan, "Waste 2 Value" was born, the hackathon in which 40 participants, assisted by the talents of the Food Innovation Program, will face the theme of the circular economy for reducing food waste. Waste 2 value ​​will take place within Agrogeneration Bologna, an event dedicated to Agribusiness Sustainability, with particular attention to the issue of food waste.
The challenge of Hackathon - How to use food waste and other wastes that otherwise would not find any existing chains? - will be coordinated by Impronta Etica, Camst, Coop Alleanza 3.0 and IGD SiiQ, who intend to address the issue of waste consumption through a circular economy model on the food theme within a shopping center, outlining the challenge that will be presented .
The goal of Hackathon will be to conceive of a food waste and other waste that would otherwise have no place in the chains already started.
The project that will rank first in the hackathon will be awarded a prize of 1000 euros to be used for the development of the latter. The winners will also be able to participate in Aggregation G7 in Bergamo next October.
